Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Gelida. They are written to be readable, not to hide gotchas. If something is unclear, email us.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Gelida (gelida.dev), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to all users, including those on free trials and paid plans.

2. Description of Service

Gelida is a Snowflake cost analytics platform that connects to your Snowflake account in read-only mode to provide cost dashboards, anomaly detection, spend forecasting, and AI-powered query analysis. Gelida does not store, process, or transmit your business data — only aggregated cost metadata derived from Snowflake's ACCOUNT_USAGE views.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify Gelida immediately of any unauthorised access to your account. Gelida is not liable for losses caused by unauthorised use of your account.

4. Free Trial

Gelida offers a 3-day free trial with Starter plan access. No credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period, your account will be locked until you choose a paid plan. Trial accounts are limited to one per organisation.

5. Paid Plans and Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. All prices are listed in USD. By providing payment details, you authorise Gelida to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Prices may change with 30 days notice. You can cancel your plan at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time.

6. Refund Policy

Gelida does not offer refunds for paid subscription periods already started. If you experience a billing error, contact support@gelida.dev within 7 days and we will investigate.

7. Snowflake Account Access

You grant Gelida permission to connect to your Snowflake account using the credentials you provide. You are responsible for ensuring those credentials have appropriate read-only permissions. Gelida will only access ACCOUNT_USAGE and INFORMATION_SCHEMA metadata views. You can revoke access at any time by removing the Gelida service user from your Snowflake account.

8. Acceptable Use

You may not use Gelida to violate any laws or regulations. You may not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from Gelida's systems. You may not share your account credentials with users outside your organisation. You may not resell or sublicense access to Gelida without written permission.

9. Data and Privacy

Gelida's collection and use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy at gelida.dev/privacy. By using Gelida you agree to the Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data. We do not use your Snowflake cost data to train AI models.

10. Service Availability

Gelida aims for high availability but does not guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. Gelida is not liable for losses resulting from service outages or interruptions.

11. Intellectual Property

All Gelida software, design, and content is owned by Gelida and protected by copyright. You may not copy, modify, or distribute Gelida's product or content without written permission. Your Snowflake cost data remains your property at all times.

12. Limitation of Liability

Gelida is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gelida is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Gelida's total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 3 months prior to the claim.

13. Termination

Gelida may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay for services, or use the service in a way that harms other users or Gelida's infrastructure. You may terminate your account at any time from Settings → Billing. On termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

14. Changes to Terms

Gelida may update these terms with 14 days notice via email. Continued use of the service after notice constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not accept updated terms, you may terminate your account before they take effect.
